Dear Sir / Madam,

Palm’S  Care Foundation will be participating in the  12th Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2015, which is not only the biggest in Asia, but also one of the largest platforms for fund raising. This event not only gives the participants a chance to work on their personal fitness, but also gives a chance to support a charity of their choice.

We believe that this is an excellent opportunity for you to support our organization,  and run for us . This will go a long way  in  the noble cause of bettering the world we live in.

Palm ‘s Care Foundation,is  a Mumbai based NGO that works for the upliftment of the underprivileged ,  needy children, women , destitute  and  the aged.  Our activities aim to improve the level of awareness in the underdeveloped classes of society through slum development, holistic  health care,  women empowerment , and  livelihood generation.

To cater to these specific needs we have the following focused programs:

1. Apna Wadi (Public Community Development):

Here the focus is on mobilizing creative forces in certain selected areas through encouragement,  help and assistance  with the ultimate goal of building a stronger and more resilient community.

2. KIBO Centre (Children Home):

Many children are deprived of parental love and care at a very early age. This has a direct impact on their physical, mental and  psychological growth resulting in hate and aggression,  leading  to antisocial behavior and general misfits in Society. Through ‘The Palm’s Care Foundation’ we provide a feeling of true belonging and an all-round family oriented atmosphere through personal mentoring programs which then helps in inculcating the necessary values for proper growth of the child. Our programs are held for orphaned children coming from the streets, slums & red light areas.

3. Choti Si Asha (Medical & Education):

Through this project we aim to provide basic health care and medical facilities to the old, destitute and  the helpless. We organize medical camps where we provide free medical checkups.

4. Aur Ek Koshish (Women Empowerment):

This is an initiative to empower the girl child. Keeping a family healthy would mean ensuring that the mother is healthy & empowered to take proper decisions to enable the child to grow well. Sadly, our women have always borne the brunt of the male centric, patriarchal society and  have often  been the recipients of extreme violence in our society for a long time. In our foundation, we organize programs to train & develop the women of our society to make them independent & self-reliant. We also provide education as a means to support this cause.

Your support for Palm’s Care at the Mumbai Marathon will go a long way in helping us achieve our goals.
