Medical camp for koparkhairane slum dwellers on 02oct 2014

Medical Camp:

Palms Care Foundation always has a heart for the children of slum, who are left alone uncared. Caption line of PCF is NGO for the empowerment of weak & poor, with much wait PCF initiated Medical Camp & Drawing Competition for slum dweller children of koparkhairane on 02 oct 2014, since it was a Gandhi Jyanti celebration, with the help of kabod team Medical Camp was conducted and Dr Prasad Shukla who volunteered to help us and many adult and small children were treated in this medical camp, around 40 patient were benefitted by this Medical camp. We had two cases where an elder man was given first aid for his right leg’s full skin was peeled off and another small boy had wound on his right  leg,which was bandaged and medicine was given to him. PCF was able to serve the society through the medical camp conducted.

 

Drawing Competition:

More over after the Medical camp got over all the children were told to come to the koparkhairane railway station at 3pm for the drawing competition, around 60 children from the slum attended and it was conducted in the premises of Koparkhairane Railway station.

With the help of the kabod team, few songs were taught to them and outline sheet were given to all the children, as the theme was HOW TO KEEP YOUR PLACE CLEAN, many girls & boy took part in it, this was the first time such drawing competition was conducted for the slum children of koparkhairane. Three prizes were kept and Mr. Indirajeet Yedekar ,A local social worker from Koparkhairane was called to select first three drawings and he gave prizes to them. All the children were also given snacks and we saw a great  joy and happiness on their face.

 

Palms Care Foundation thanked all the team members & Volunteers for participating for those events and made it successful.
